Powers (no more than 150 words):
I'm not sure if this is a power, but his Ultimate Lucky Student ability (which mainly manifests in bad luck with good results) is a big part of his character. It wouldn't affect anything in regards to over-arching plot or anything that would make him over powered—this ability would just show up in minor rp scenarios, perhaps in a setup post where a bit of misfortune leads him into running into a favorable character, or getting an extra pie slice, or not falling into a puddle of man-eating slugs because he tripped the other way and fell on his face. If his luck is able to extend beyond that, cool! If not, that still works fine—he's not even aware that he's lucky anyways. He believes he's severely unlucky.
Personality
What is your character most afraid of? How are they defined by this fear? (100-300 words)
During his time in the killing game at Hope's Peak, Makoto's greatest fear was not being able to save his friends and escape back to normal reality. This fear was solidified early on in the game when, despite the girl trying to initially frame him, he was not able to save his middle school classmate (and crush) from her fate. This moment became a turning point for him and perhaps even caused the beginning of his evolution into the Ultimate Hope.
However, he has no memories of the game, nor Sayaka and her death. Thus, his greatest fear is losing his everyday peaceful life. In his Worst Day Ever, Makoto encountered events that ranged from minor annoyances to deeply terrifying. Throughout this, he was just worried that his life would be changed for the worse and he would lose his nice, kind of mundane, peaceful life. He is afraid of misfortune and held onto false beliefs about hope in order to convince himself that things would always go his way (eg. the weather is nice, so nothing can go wrong). This belief is challenged by a stranger who points out the flawed logic of that mindset, and he becomes even more anxious to get back to his everyday peaceful life. After all, he's just a normal, high school kid... nothing bad should happen to him, right?
This delusion is caused by his fear and will affect his actions, making him prone to self-soothing behavior and misplaced optimism, not the truly helpful kind of optimism he learned to harness during his time at Hope's Peak.
What is your character's greatest desire? How are they defined by this desire? (100-300 words)
Makoto's greatest desire is a mirror of his greatest fear, in and out of the killing game. During his time at Hope's Peak, his greatest desire was to save his friends and have as many people escape the despair as possible. Though he has no memory of this time, this desire stems from the same place his current one does—to preserve his everyday peaceful life, to preserve all peaceful life. Whether that means working to keep his friends alive and to find a way out of Hope's Peak, or not cause waves in his previous normal life and be as happy and content as possible, they both present in the same way. Makoto will do anything it takes to fulfill this desire no matter what sort of situation he's in.
During his worst day ever, Makoto finds himself doing things he'd never think of doing before, just to try to preserve peace. This includes going out of his way to help people he didn't even know, which surprised even himself. He even puts himself in danger and acts without thinking—his usually small desire beginning to manifest into the one he'd later have at Hope's Peak. There is a quote from the Secret File about his worst day that sums this up perfectly. His desire for peace seems to scale with the motivating factor behind it—the more life-threatening the event, the more he becomes spurred into action. Though he doesn't have his memories of the truly traumatic and motivating events at Hope's Peak, his desire for peace will still move him to try return to normalcy, no matter what it takes (even if it means just simply deluding himself).
How will not having memories change your character? What core personality traits, if any, will change? How? (200-300 words)
Without his memories, mainly those of the killing game at Hope's Peak, Makoto will be more like he was during his normal high school life. For one, he will believe he is 16 years old instead of 18, which isn't a big difference and also occurred while he was at the school, but it's something to mention. More importantly, he will not remember the deaths of his friends and being trapped in the school, which was a very traumatic experience that spurred on a lot of his character growth. Though the beginnings of his bigger drive for peace happened during his worst day ever (which he will remember), his drive for hope will be severely stunted. Without experiencing the despair of the killing game, he won't have the same evolution into the Ultimate Hope, and thus will not be as optimistic as he was during his time at the school. He'll be more prone to acting a little selfishly and hesitantly, instead of tentatively leaning into the leader role as he'd done at Hope's Peak.
Because he will have his keen intellect, he will still have an interest in trying to figure out what's going on and will notice that things are amiss, but he'll be more likely to try to just go with the flow ("Accept it for what it is," as he learned on his worst day) if that path leads to the most normal and peaceful result. He will be more timid and try not to cause problems or make any waves, though just like what happened during his time at the school, he could learn to be more proactive if he finds someone with a strong personality to follow and be coaxed into action by. Because the seeds of his Ultimate Hope are there—they always have been—they just need a strong enough motivator to cause them to grow, just as they did at Hope's Peak.

Memories
Relationship trapping: 2 points.
He remembers he has a family consisting of his parents and his sister, and with some focus he remembers his sister's name.
Major memory 2 points.
He remembers his worst day ever except that he doesn't remember clearly anyone he had a relationship with (like the friend he bumped into or that he was hoping to see Sayaka that night on tv; he'll just remember he had an important thing to watch that he missed). He will remember that he got accepted to Hope's Peak, but this memory does not extend to him actually going to the school or any part of the killing game. This means he will believe he is 16 years old, which is similar to his situation in the killing game, where everyone participating could not remember two years of their time at the school. I believe this is a major memory because it sets in motion his character evolution in regards to his (unlucky) luck and becoming the Ultimate Hope.
Skill: Keen Intellect 1 points.
Has the ability to notice discrepancies, inconsistencies, and pick up on patterns that may not be apparent.
Used: 5 points.
